November 25, 1923 – April 16, 2012 William H. Brown, Jr., 88, of Mitchell, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at 7:34 p.m. at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, Bedford, IN. Born November 25, 1923 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of William H. and Kate (Stevens) Brown. He married Dorothy Mae Faubion on December 15, 1943; and she preceded him in death on December 21, 1999. He was a construction worker and a hod carrier. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Church, and a member of the International Laborers Union 741 for 55 years. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in World War II. Surviving are his daughter, Donna Lee Flick of Bedford; daughter-in-law, Viola Brown of Mitchell; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, James Brown and William Robert Brown; one brother; two sisters; and one great-granddaughter, Alexis Livingston. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with John Meunier officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, with Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Gillen Post 33. Friends may call on Thursday, 4 – 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.
