LOVELL, SR., Thomas E. – 69

Thomas E. "Tommy" Lovell, Sr., age 69 of Lafayette, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. Born May 17, 1942 in West Point, IN, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Thelma Edwards Lovell.
He married Sandra Francis on November 10, 1973 in Lafayette and she survives. Tommy was a press operator for Rostone Corporation for 33 years, retiring in 2005. He attended West Point United Methodist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart, Jr. and Sr., and watching wrestling.
Surviving with his wife are their children: a daughter, Melissa Hilt (husband, Roger) and four sons, Richard Lovell, Karl Lovell, Thomas Lovell, Jr. (wife, Melissa), and Daniel Lovell (wife, Heather); three sisters, Esther Garrison, Mary "Dolly" Mackey, and Debra Thomas (husband, Bill); and two brothers, Jesse Lovell (wife, Mary) and Richard Lovell (wife, Karen). Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
