Theodore "Ted" W. McIntosh, 80, of Spencer, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at IU Health, Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Altoona, Pa, to Clyde W. and Viola Mae (Clapper) McIntosh on August 18, 1931. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War, serving in Germany. Mr. McIntosh was a pattern maker for International Harvester for 31 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Spencer VFW and the UAW and IAM in Indianapolis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking and cooking for his family and friends.
Ted is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann (Jensen) McIntosh; sons, Jerry (Krystal) McIntosh, Michael (Darlene) McIntosh all of Spencer, and David (Denise) McIntosh of Avon; brother, Tommy McIntosh of Mobile, Al; sisters, Bev Kasunic of Duncanville, Pa and Lois Rilling of Hollidaysburg, Pa; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Clyde McIntosh and Janice Fuller.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee will officiate. Military services will be conducted by the Spencer American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-7 p.m.
