Steven Kovacevic, 56 of Indianapolis passed away April 14, 2012. Steve was born on November 11, 1955 to Vladimir and Hedwig Kovacevic in New Chicago , Indiana. He graduated in 1973 from River Forest High School and continued his education at Purdue University, graduating with a masters degree in biochemistry in 1980. Steve retired in December 2011, after 30 fulfilling years as a molecular biologist at Eli Lilly and Company. Steve's passions were spending time with his family and friends; bicycling, playing guitar and being outdoors. Steve is survived by his wife of 26 years Diane Huser; daughter Elizabeth and son Mark, and sisters Vera (Kim) Cory and Petra (Doug) Julian. A casual memorial visitation will be Thursday, April 19, from 4 to 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Promoting Cycling in Indianapolis, www.theindycog.com, 222 E. Market Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
