Melvin was born on August 7, 1935 and passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Melvin was a resident of New Ross, Indiana at the time of his passing.
Melvin served in the US Air Force as a radio operator in Germany during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Martha.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 5, 2012, 12 noon - 2:00 p.m at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the New Ross Cemetery with Pastor Rodger Ward officiating.
