Mabel B. Shaw, age 95, of Tipton, Indiana died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton. She was born June 16, 1916 near Cicero, IN to Goffrey "Goeff" and Opal (Wright) Beaver.

She was a graduate of Cicero High School. She had worked for 35 years at D.A. Murray Company at Tipton as a supervisor and was also a co-owner of Progress Tool & Die Company. Additionally she had worked for 25 years as a clerk at the Strawtown Sale Barn.

Mabel was a member of the Tipton Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid bingo player.

She married Virgil Shaw in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Surviving her are two daughters: Rosemary Flowers of Byrdstown, TN and Shirley Ann (Gene) Richards of Tipton, IN, a sister: Joetta Eller of Atlanta, IN, grandchildren: Debra (Raymond) Ling, Paula Walkup, Rhonda Yegerlehner, Leslie (Alan) Hazelwood, Mark Walker, Amy Mohler, and Sam (Lisa) Mohler and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband and parents are two sisters: Edna Mae Shock and Betty Essig, and four brothers: Lamar, Cecil, Robert, and Wayne Beaver.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. at the United Family Wesleyan Church, 210 Washington Avenue, Cicero, IN, with Pastor Wayne Lyon officiating.  A time of remembrance and fellowship will follow the services also at the Church.
