ROCKVILLE-Lula E. Nevins, 99, of Rockville, Indiana died at 12:45 pm Sunday, April 15, 2012 in Vermillion Convalescent Center at Clinton. She was a homemaker. She was born February 9, 1913 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Eugene Everett Akers and Lonie Bradshaw Akers. Her husband of 60 years, Clayton A. Nevins whom she married April 10, 1935 died January of 1996. Survivors include one son, John E. Nevins and wife Darlene Nevins of Marshall, Indiana; one daughter, Carol Nevins of Terre Haute, Indiana; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Alan Nevins, four sisters and three brothers. She was a member of the Rockville Christian Church. Private graveside services will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Terre Haute, with the Rev. Don Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow. Care and arrangements entrusted to Gooch Funeral Home, Rockville. Friends may sign an online guest register at www.goochfuneralhome.com.
