Lawrence F. Gehbauer, Sr. 101, Columbus, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away April 29, 2012. He was a Supervisor - Machinist for Allison's GM during WWII. He then worked at various machine shops around Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Devore Gehbauer. He is survived by son, Lawrence F. (Karen) Gehbauer, Jr.; Carolyn Sue (Bob) Stephen; 4 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna; and siblings, Lena, John "Pood", Herbert, Anna "Sis", Hazel, Freida, Paul, Opal and Clarence. The funeral service is at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel, with calling there from 12 Noon until service time. The burial is at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.
