Helen E. Hizer, 94, Indianapolis, passed away May 4, 2012. She was born October 13, 1917 in Peru, IN, the daughter of John and Bodie Mae (Lang) Kaley. She retired from the St. Augustine Home as a nurse's aide. Helen was a member of Kessler Krest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Hizer, and her sons, Virgil Lee Hizer and Kenneth Wesley Hizer. Helen is survived by her daughter, Sherri L. Quinn (Jerry); her sons, Charles R. Hizer, Jr. (Judy)and John David Hizer; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and her extended family, the Geisse Family, Thurman "Cush" Cushingberry and the staff at Eagle Creek Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services will be on Monday, May 7 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 6 from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Kessler Krest Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
