Fredric Waldron, Jr., 91 of Bedford, died at 2:13 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, Bedford, Indiana. Born on November 29, 1921 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Fred and Stella (Kinder) Waldron. He married Angie Annetta on July 19, 1940, and she survives. He was employed at Crane for 36 years, and later worked at George's Gateway. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church; Elks Club, American Legion Gillen Post #33, and former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed college sports, especially Purdue. Surviving are his wife, Angie Waldron, of Bedford; son, Jerry (Sandi) Waldron of Bedford; 2 grandsons, Scott Waldron of Carrabassett Valley, Maine, and Christopher (Laura) Waldron of Muncie, Indiana; one granddaughter, Kellie Waldron of Redondo Beach, California; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Waldron and Mason Waldron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Josh Waldron; three brothers, Clyde, Merle and Robert Waldron; and one sister, Bertha McIver. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Rick Eldred officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with Military Rites accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Friends may call on Sunday, 1 – 6 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with the Rosary prayed at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
