Edward J. Cook 83, Zionsville, died May 13, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN. Ed was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 26, 1929 to the late James and Nellie (Wheeler) Cook.
Ed started his restaurant career in 1964 at the Walsh Pharmacy at 38th and Meridian in Indianapolis, then he opened Fast Eddie's restaurant. After selling the restaurant he became a baker for Hardees in Zionsville and retired in 2010 from Eagle Elementary School cafeteria. Ed was a hardworking man that loved spending time with his family and friends.
Ed is preceded in death by his brothers Chester, Lester and Jim Cook. Ed is survived by his loving wife Mary Cook; daughters, Sheila (Bill) Kessler, Terry Steele (Jim Ruark), Cindy McKamey (Alan Rogers); sister, Nellie Jean Wilkerson; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday May 17, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Zionsville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th at the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Zionsville Cemetery.
