Delmar L. Abbott

90, Cumberland, Indiana passed away April 10, 2012. Delmar was born on September 16, 1921 in Greensburg, Indiana the son of John D. and Virginia C. (Stout) Abbott. He retired as a Locomotive Engineer with Conrail and was a U S Army veteran of WW II. Delmar was a member of Franklin Road Church of Christ, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and a 1940 graduate of Tech High School. Survivors: wife, Maxine (Dietz) Abbott; brother, John E. Abbott. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald D. Abbott.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, April 13, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan - Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington Street. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the funeral Center. Burial, Oaklawn Memory Gardens with graveside military rites by the Marion County Veterans Burial Association.
