Albert E. Gascon, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Albert was born July 21, 1929 in Canadice, New York to the late Albert F. and Phyllis (Belcher) Gascon.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. Al worked for Raymond International for 47 years as a Pipeline Construction Supervisor. After retiring he worked 17 years at Littleton Sand & Gravel as dump truck driver. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Elks in Ohio and also the local VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Iona "Maizie" Gascon; son, Ronnie (Charlotte) Gascon; daughters, Renée (Kenny) McKinzie and Rebecca Patterson; brother, Lewis Gascon; 8 grandchildren, Amber, Sarah, Rachel, Brian, Allyson, Terri, Cassie and Caedman; 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Steven, Cindy, Lewann and Raymond. He was preceded in death by his son, Rory Gascon and sister, Rita Rath.
Calling: 4-8 P.M. Friday, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel. Services: Noon Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Orchard Hill Cemetery.
