Carolyn K. Vazquez was born in Kokomo on December 20, 1940 and passed on to be with her Heavenly Father at 5:15 P.M. on April 14, 2012 at the Howard Regional Health System. She was the daughter of the late James and Roxie (Crousore) Bagley. Carolyn attended Kokomo High School before marrying Juan B. Vazquez on January 27, 1969, and he survives. Carolyn loved going to garage sales, and collected different things like dolls. She attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Kokomo, since she was 13 years old. She enjoyed pastimes such as needle point and cake decorating. Carolyn always enjoyed opening her doors to entertain and cook for guest, because friends and family were very important to her.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Juan B. Vazquez; her daughter, Susan (Barry) Bulger, Kokomo; two sons, Jonathan (Sara) Vazquez, Potts Camp, Mississippi and Michael A. Vazquez, Kokomo; a daughter-in-law, Lora Vazquez, Kokomo; grandchildren, Jonathan, Chelsea and Lindsay Bulger, Malin and Issac Vazquez, Ellie and Kate Vazquez and Kelsey Losch. Other survivors include a great grandchild, Ethan Bulger; two sisters, Wanda McCombs, Sharpsville and Donna Johnson, Sarasota, FL and special nieces, nephews and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mary Williams, James Bagley Jr. and Marlene Dockerty.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1709 Faith Rd. Kokomo, IN 46901 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor James Ball officiating. After the service we will be taking Carolyn to her final resting place in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo. All of Carolyn's friends and family are welcome to join together for a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, IN 46901.
