Memories & Candles
memories of Eddie are so vivid even after 22 years. I worked for Eddie and Mary at Fast Eddies right after graduating high school. i had recently moved to Indy from a small town and they took a big chance on giving me a try as a waitress. That job taught me so much about life and business ethics and today in my career I pften think back to what hard workers they both were.....never complaining and always smiling. Eddie

I will always remember going to the pharmacy for lunch with my Dad, Frank Brye. Rick and I always looked forward to going to work with dad so that we could go to see Eddie and Mary for lunch, best lunches ever. I drive by there now and I always tell my kids that there used to be a diner there and it had the best hamburgers. I miss those days! Years later I saw Eddie and Mary at

Hardly a day went by over the last twelve years that I didn't get a friendly wave of the hand from Ed; what a special treat it has been for me to experience his friendship! Ed and Mary, you are the greatest neighbors anyone could ever ask for. You have never once complained about being the neighbor of the funeral home although there has been many times it would have been justified. Since I was a young boy, your graciousness

Uncle Ed,
You were the best uncle ever. I loved being around you, and listening to your stories. The drug store was the place to be. We had lots of good times there.
You were the original White Castle Hamburger maker, or we all thought so. You will be missed and I Love You. Starr

Dear Cook Family,
There are few things more difficult than dealing with the loss of a loved one. We, along with our staff, are honored and humbled that you have chosen our family to care for your family during this time. It is our hope that we have been able, in some small way, to lighten your burden and give proper reverence to a life lived. Please let us know if we can be of further service.
Respectfully,
Brian and Bruce Buchanan

My fondest memories of you were at Walsh Drugstore. I could sit and watch you for hours and you would listen to those who would call out the orders no matter how many there was and you remembered everyone of them. I would say to myself, how did he remember them all. I thought you were the best cook and you made the best burgers. Never could find a burger that tasted as good as yours. You always had a
