I still don't understand why God took her away from all of her family and friends at such a young age, but it happened and that is just something we will all have to deal with.

Not a day goes by where I don't think of my wonderful aunt. Reading all of the recent post in the memory book make me miss her so much. I still don't understand why God took her away from all of her family and friends at such a young age, but it happened and that is just something we will all have to deal with.

I'm so blessed to have had such a great aunt in my life. She really was like a second mom to me and there is so much I have learned from her. I miss her wild and crazy personality everyday, and hope to be just as great of an aunt to my nieces and nephews one day. She has no idea how much she has inspired me in my life, and i wish i could have told her so before she left us.

Susan was and is unforgettable. Whether it was hosting a party at her house or out on the town, you were always where the fun was if you were with Susan. I will always remember stealing Ferd's Corvette and going for joy rides around the Columbus cornfields, or out to Harrison Lake Country Club to charge meals on our parents' accounts, or pulling up in front of the thrift store to buy new wave clothes and watching all the clerks'

Susan was and is unforgettable. Whether it was hosting a party at her house or out on the town, you were always where the fun was if you were with Susan. We dyed her dog green, listened to Moon Unit Zappa songs, sailed, swam, and laughed; we talked to the myna bird that could only say "I don't know" and were, once and awhile, unruly kids. I lost touch with Susan over the years, and heard she'd had some tough times, but in my heart she will always be that "cool new girl from Florida" who, when the rest of us were still fumbling our way through teenage angst, was already setting the standard for a life lived in full. I am so pleased to have had Susan in my life. The parties, the music, the hijinks...what a gal. Rest in peace, Susan. You've earned it and then some.

No trauma existed that could not be fixed with a cigarette and ride in her convertible. When life crashed down, Susan replied with her own version of "the heck with it" (there was no heck in her version) and had a plan of happy distraction for at least the next few hours- enough to get any friend over the rough spot. She somehow found the most fabulous hair and skin salon in New York, landed a job there, and turned our city dehydrated skin to baby soft within a week. Beautiful, spirited, fabulous sense of style, full of love, steel on the outside and truly, beautifully fragile inside. She loved her mother, Nancy, and could imitate (in perfect pitch) the way Nancy would say" Susan!" If anyone is still wondering, Diet Coke was invented as a breakfast drink. Susan taught me to be me- to not apologize for one minute to anyone on the planet that I was anyone other than who I was. I loved her to death, and sometimes she wore me out, but I can't conceive that I'll ever have a best friend like Susan ever again. I miss you and I'm sorry. xo kate

So sad to hear the loss of a very sweet young lady who was always nice to us when we were younger and visiting Cammie at the house on Sandy Hook. My sincere condolences to Cammie and her mom on this terrible loss. I hope the happy memories of times shared will offset the pain you most certainly feel at this time. Countless memories, gathering together, smiles, laughs, tears and ooh yes, fears. I cannot express enough, the love that extends in my heart, the value of such a family as you made. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Susan, and my thoughts and prayers and hugs are with you thru this difficult time. Susan and I often mentioned how fortunate we were to have the families that we did..loving familes . I will always cherish the good times with Susan and your family thru the years. She is in good hands--she is in Gods hands with Ferd now and she will shine always.!!
