Memories & Candles
Uncle Dave,
As I read these sweet tributes to you, I can't help but wish I had lived closer to you to enjoy your sense of humor, wisdom, & love that everyone shares memories of. We only saw each other a few times over the years & yet you touched me deeply. The 1st time I met you I was a young girl. You told me as I walked towards you, that you could see my mother when you

Grandpa you were always strong and always remember you saying 'Ain't nobody going to do anything for you, except you.' So we all have to be strong in tribute to grandpa. I will think about you everyday, see you everywhere i go, and never forget you in my life.
Love your dawg,
Mathew

Grandpa,
You are loved by many, especially your family. I know we all miss you and you will be in my heart forever. I will always remember the jokester in you. Sometimes you had a mean streak but I didn’t mind because that made you the man we all loved. You were always helping family out with whatever they needed. Anytime I needed to talk you would be there to listen and give me advice.
Love,
Clayton

Dad,
You’ve never damned a man for what he believes and even though I’ve had a hard time losing you, you will always be in my heart and I will live by the advice you’ve given me in life. I will be strong for you and hope you can forgive me for being an a** to the brother I really love.
Love,
Your grouchy son Bob

My second dad is how I will always remember you. The Burris family is my family. Dad never turned his back on me even when I was a wild child of the 70s. Love & miss you always. Gina

Hey pop, I just wanna tell you I'm gonna look extra pretty for ya Thursday. Ill bring all my sass and try to remember to be the best version of myself. Ill remember that sometimes three is a crowd and that if I present myself, I can be beautiful too. Thanks for the wisdom you gave me. Thank you for giving me hope and a little shade of confidence. For talking me through hard times. For giving me a bed
