Bob was a regular volunteer bird walk and bird festival field trip guide here for most of the years I knew him (when he wasn't off on some exotic birding trip in search of more birds for his life list!). He was a very bright, funny, and down to earth person who was also a great teacher. It was always a pleasure to talk with Bob, and I will miss seeing him here.

I first met Bob at Muscatatuck NWR about seven years ago. He became a mentor to Sally and I and was very helpful in getting us started on our birding journey. We discovered a mutual interest in classical music when seeing Bob at a Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra event several years ago and we always looked forward to chatting with him at concert intermissions as well as Saturday morning birding excursions at the Refuge. Bob was sharp, witty, warm and a good friend. We will miss him very much.

I met Bob while working at the library. What a delightful man! He always has a story or joke for us. We have missed him.

My sympathies to his family and friends.

To Bob's family- So sorry for the loss of you father. I enjoyed talking to him at the Community Center where we exercised. He truly was a sweet man. May God's comfort be with you all at this time. I will be praying for you.
